Feel the Love

Sorry if I've been neglecting this blog, but I've been having way too much fun :)

Last Saturday, Violet and I had our first session together from the Pregnancy, Babies and Children's Expo! I was so excited I could hardly sleep the night before and we had so much fun.

Yes we love kids of all ages (even big ones) but one of the hidden gems of doing what we do is having the opportunity to meet and get to know the families of these dear little ones and seeing just how much love they have for each other. For us, it's a real privilege to be able to witness a small part of that and if I've done my job right, I get to capture this for all to see. So here goes; some pics from Saturday:

First up was Miss A. and her stunning eyes:

This little one was just so well behaved I'm sure that she's destined to be a super model. And her smile could melt the polar ice caps. Check it out for yourself:

I think her Daddy's going to have a hard time keeping the boys away when she's older!

Then we had Charlie's angels. These cousins were so full of energy and certainly made me work but it's pretty obvious that there's a lot of love in this family:

and starkissess all around:

Yep, Daddy didn't miss out either:

Next came this lucky Boy, Mister D. He came with his two big sisters and a cousin who just all adore him! And we can all see why:

And that cheeky smile that's bound to break a few hearts:

But sometimes being this darn cute can be all too much:

Next up were two brothers who I just couldn't get enough of. Big brother N was so patient and caring toward little brother K. And boy was this kid smart and cute and so much fun! Check out the brotherly love:

And little brother K was loving him right back....

So Cute!

Last up for the day was little miss L who is just so lucky to have such loving parents. She cried when I picked her up but just look at how she behaves for her daddy:

And she even managed a smile for him:

And at the end of the day, what else was a girl to do but cuddle up to her favourite man:
Can we say Awww.

I Believe

O.K. I admit it....it's no secrete really....but I'm a tomboy! Growing up, I preferred to get down and dirty in the sand pit with my brother's toys than to have a tea party with dolls. My brother got a skate board one Christmas and just couldn't wait to try it out! Then there was the year he got a BMX for his birthday...boy did that bike go fast. My parents tried in vain to get me to be more "lady like" but never succeeded, so they eventually gave up and turned their efforts to my sister instead. She did not disappoint and my parents at last had a little girl in the family.

But to my defence, the 80's really wasn't a very feminine era (am I showing my age?). Think about it. There was Transformers, He-man, Night rider, Dukes of Hazard and really big shoulder pads.....at least that's my recollection of the 80's.

Now, if they had half the cute girly things in the 80's that they have now, I may very well have turned out to be a different person(think fairy wings and tiaras). Anyway, now that I'm the grown up and the only girl in the household, I've decided to become more in tune to my inner "girly" child. So when I saw these wings yesterday, I just had to have them. They are very small but sooo cute.

And here's some more from my collection...

Oh, by the way...Yes, I believe!

What a Blast!

WOW...what a blast I've had at the Pregnancy, babies and children's expo!
Violet and I handed out so many cards just on Friday alone that I had to leave early to get some more cards printed up.

We met so many wonderful people...lots of yummy mummies, so many too cute bubs and even a few proud dads. It was wonderful to meet you all. Violet and I were like two kids in a candy store:

"...look at that cute one with the cute smile...oh,oh how about that one with the beautiful eyes...Violet look! how cute is that one..." (Cluck,Cluck)

In case you haven't guessed, WE LOVE KIDS. We love their little hands and feet, their cute little butts, their button nose. We love their sweet smiles, their crazy hair, the way they act so coy....well, we just love kids.

Just in case you were wondering, we did manage to get some work in during the expo but it was all fun.

Our show special proved so popular that we had to open up additional days to meet the demand and I'm so excited that I'll get to do a photo session with some ultra cute babes. Thank you to those of you who booked in and I'm looking forward to seeing you all again.

Here's a few pics from the expo:

For those of you who didn't get to book in for our show special, please check back on this blog for future specials. Violet and I are working on some new ideas and hope to be able to offer a Christmas special in the near future.

Hope to meet more of you all in the near future.

Lucky Me

Sometimes I just have to pinch myself to make sure that it's all real. Yes I might live in a small home with an outdoor dunny, my roof may leak in a heavy storm and I have no fashion sense what so ever. What I do have, money can't buy. One wonderful, supportive husband and a beautiful baby boy who makes me laugh every day.

Last Thursday my lovely hubby purchased a new lens for me and today I had the chance to try it out and may I say....Yummy!

Here are a couple of my favourates from today.

I just love the tender moment caught in this first pic....

and this second one just warms my heart....

Lucky me.

Heart and Soul

Hi and welcome to Starkissed Photography blog page.

I'm hoping to update this page on a regular basis to showcase my latest work and show off some of the sweetest kids in Perth. As this is my first post, I think that it's only befitting that the first pic to go up is one of my favourite subjects. My Hubby and Son...or as I like to think of them...heart and soul. Yes, I'm one lucky Gal....

For those of you who are attending the Pregnancy, Babies and Children's Expo, please come and visit the Tiny Treasures baby sculptures stand where I will be displaying my work, along side the very talented Violet Faure, proprietor of Tiny Treasures.

Tiny Treasures is a baby sculpture business, run by my talented friend Violet. The sculptures are truly amazing and the detail in them is unbelievable. I discovered Tiny treasures at last year's expo, when I was pregnant and decided to get a sculpture done of my son when he was 4 weeks old. Now he's eight months old and I'm so glad that I did. He's grown so much and it's amazing to look back and see how tiny his hands and feet were and just how cute that little butt was at that age (yes I have a sculpture of his butt). Thanks to Violet, I'll have these to treasure for ever. I was so impressed by how lovely and professional Violet was that when she mentioned that she was looking for a photographer to take pictures for her, I jumped at the chance. Why? because she has the same work ethics as I do and I believe in her product. As she so blatantly said to me:

"I want to make sure I'm putting a quality product out there for my clients..."

Now who wouldn't want to be associated with that sort of work ethic?

Check out her website on:

http://www.babysculptures.com.au/

We're putting together a show special. Book in for a baby sculpture on the 23rd of August and receive a free portrait sitting for your child and a free 5"x7" print of your choice. A $20 deposit is required at booking as places are limited.

Hope to meet you there.
